The Max Red Bartlett pear

Known as “red Williams,” the Max Red Bartlett is a variant of this pear easily recognisable by its characteristic red streaked colouring that covers large portions of the skin. Its shape is commonly referred to as “flask-shaped”. Fruits are medium to small in size with a maximum diameter of 55 to 75 mm.

At the right level of ripeness, it is perhaps one of the pears with the best organoleptic properties. Additionally, it has a high resistance to cold and pathogens.

The Max Red Bartlett stands out for its colour, which changes during ripening. The riper the pear, the more the deep red becomes orangish and the green streaks turn yellow. This colour change is a visible indicator of the fruit’s ripeness. The Max Red Bartlett’s flesh develops intense and spicy aromas and flavours, offering a unique tasting experience. This variety not only attracts with its appearance, but also captivates with its rich and complex flavour.
